What is AmpCoil?

AmpCoil is a non-invasive wellness technology that combines sound frequencies with pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology. During your session, you'll simply relax while the system runs a sound-frequency program tailored to your visit. The AmpCoil system includes:
  • BetterGuide® App: A collection of pre-designed sound journeys that guide your session.
  • Amplifier: A small, portable device that powers the system and sends the sound-frequency program to the electromagnetic coil.
  • Electromagnetic Coil: A lightweight copper coil in a fabric sleeve that is placed on or near your body, delivering pulsed electromagnetic fields.
  • PEMF Mat: A full-body cushioned mat that houses additional copper coils, increasing the coverage area of the electromagnetic fields.

What to Expect During Your Session

Your AmpCoil appointment is designed to be easy and comfortable. A member of our team will help you settle into a recliner with the PEMF mat beneath you. The electromagnetic coil is then positioned on or near your body before your sound journey begins.

And that’s it—there’s nothing more you need to do. The AmpCoil system works quietly in the background while you enjoy about 30 minutes of uninterrupted time to yourself.

Because personal electronic devices aren’t used during AmpCoil sessions, you’re welcome to bring a book, a soft blanket, or anything else that helps you feel at ease.

No. Whether you’re already a patient of Centreville Osteopathy or simply curious about AmpCoil, you’re welcome to schedule a session. Becoming an osteopathic patient is not required.

Yes. For most people, AmpCoil is considered a safe, non-invasive wellness experience.

However, it is not appropriate for everyone. AmpCoil should not be used during pregnancy, by people with implanted electronic medical devices such as pacemakers or insulin pumps, or by those with epilepsy or other seizure disorders. It is also not recommended during active cancer treatment or an active concussion.

Additional precautions may apply for metal implants, certain medications, and other medical conditions.
